Job description:

The University of California, Irvine, seeks applicants for one or more postdoctoral scholar posi-tions in experimental particle physics. The successful candidates will work in the group of Pro-fessor William Molzon and may participate in the MEG2 experiment at the Paul Scherrer Institut in Switzerland or the mu2e experiment at Fermilab. The MEG collaboration is currently constructing upgraded detectors to improve further their sensitivity in a search for the decay of a muon to an electron and a photon; the experiment is expected to take data starting in 2017. The mu2e experiment is in the design and early construction phase and will search for muons converting to electrons in the field of a nucleus. Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in experimental particle physics or a related field.
