POSTDOCTORAL POSITION
State University of New York, University at Buffalo
Experimental High Energy Physics
The experimental High Energy Physics group at UB has an immediate opening for
a postdoctoral research associate position to work on the CMS experiment.
The successful candidate is expected to take a leadership role in CMS physics
analyses and detector upgrade efforts. The UB CMS group is involved with the
current Forward Pixel Detector, as well as simulations for the Inner Tracker
for Phase 2 upgrades. In addition, they have significant responsibilities and
expertise in the reconstruction and calibration of jets, jet substructure,
boosted W/Z/H and top tagging, and heavy flavor tagging. The group performs
various measurements of the Standard Model processes as well as searches
for New Phenomena. The group enjoys close collaboration with leading
experts in precision calculations of QCD and EW processes.
