The Department of Physics at Arizona State University invites applications for a full-time, benefits-eligible Lecturer to begin Fall 2016. The successful candidate will provide instruction in our large undergraduate General Physics Program, supervise teaching assistants, serve on Department or University committees and develop course materials and future program plans in conjunction with other faculty and staff. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Physics by the time of appointment, at least two years of experience teaching at University level and a record of teaching excellence as evidenced through peer and/or student evaluations. Desired qualifications include strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills and ability to work as part of a larger instructional team.
Initial appointment is for a 9-month academic year. Subsequent annual renewal is possible contingent upon performance, availability of resources and the needs of the Department. Salary is dependent on experience and summer support may be possible dependent upon departmental need.
