Position as PhD Research fellow available at the Institute of theoretical astrophysics,

The position is connected to the Strategic Dark Matter Initiative (SDI), a new initiative in the search for the identity of Dark Matter, combining research in astro-, astroparticle- and particle physics, established by the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Oslo. See here for more information on SDI.

The PhD fellowship will be based in the cosmology group at the Institute of theoretical astrophysics The work will consist of developing advanced simulations and new algorithms for the study of self-interacting dark matter models and gravity models beyond general relativity. The aim is to investigate nonlinear structure formation within these models and to forecast possible signature to be measured in near future experiments such as Euclid. The student will work closely with people with both a strong theoretical and numerical background.
