Visiting Assistant Professor
The Department of Physics at Case Western Reserve University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in experimental or theoretical condensed matter physics, biophysics, imaging physics or experimental particle astrophysics. The appointment will be for a one-year period starting in academic year 2016-17, with the possibility of renewal for up to two additional one-year periods. Candidates are required to have a Ph.D. in physics or a closely related discipline or equivalent and be committed to excellence in research and teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate level. A teaching duty of one course plus up to two recitations per semester will allow ample opportunity for research. The successful candidate will carry out a vigorous research program in collaboration with one or more of the existing research programs within the department.
