Job description:
The Laboratory for High Energy Physics (LPHE, lphe.epfl.ch) of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) invites applications for a postdoc position to work on the LHCb experiment at CERN's Large Hadron Collider. Our group bears responsibilities in the operation and maintenance of the Inner Tracker until the end of Run 2, as well as in the construction of the Scintillating Fibre (SciFi) Tracker for the forthcoming detector upgrade. We expect our new colleague to take a prominent role in our physics data analysis effort and/or to get involved in the SciFi project. The position, which also involves teaching duties at Bachelor or Master level, becomes available on June 1, 2016, but a start on September 1, 2016 is also possible.
Applicants must hold a PhD degree obtained within the past 5 years and have a solid experience in experimental particle physics.
