DESY is one of the world’s leading research centres for photon science, particle and astroparticle physics as well as accelerator physics.
The brillant synchroton source PETRA III as well as the intense free-electron laser FLASH and our inhouse research groups at DESY CFEL offer a broad range of research opportunities, ranging from life science to the study of fundamental physical processes in various areas. DESY offers several career opportunities also in the enabling technologies like detector or laser physics and development.
The position
Fellows are invited to take an active role in one of the experimental or theoretical areas of research at DESYs Photon Science.
-Condensed matter physics
-Atoms, Molecules and Optics
-Laser physics
-Detector development
-Structural Chemistry
-Structural Biology
Requirements
-Ph.D. completed within the last 4 years
-Experience in experimental or theoretical science in one of the areas of the DESY photon science division
DESY-Fellowships are awarded for a duration of 2 years with the possibility of prolongation by one additional year.
