The Institute of High Energy Physics (HEPHY) by the Austrian Academy of Sciences in Vienna, Austria, seeks postdoctoral candidates in theoretical particle and astroparticle physics with a strong interest and previous expertise in the Dark Matter problem and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Theory efforts at HEPHY encompass Dark Matter, Supersymmetry, and QCD. The Institute performs a rich experimental particle physics program participating in accelerator and non-accelerator based experiments. HEPHY has a long-standing involvement in CMS at CERN and in the Belle / Belle II experiments at KEK, and recently established a CRESST Dark Matter group.
Remuneration will be based on the postdoc salary scheme of the Austrian Science Fund (https://www.fwf.ac.at/en/research-funding/personnel-costs/). The annual gross income will be at least 49.644 € ("Bruttogehalt"). The position will be for two years starting in Fall 2016. A generous travel allowance and funds to invite collaborators and seminar speakers will be available.
