The Amsterdam Cosmology Group (ACG) invites applications for two postdoctoral fellowships starting in the Fall of 2016. Preference will be given to researchers with a strong track record in the field of Theoretical Cosmology broadly defined. The positions are under the supervision of Prof. Daniel Baumann.
The ACG currently consists of four faculty members (Daniel Baumann, Ben Freivogel, Marieke Postma, Jan-Pieter van der Schaar), five postdocs and nine PhD students. The group is part of Institute of Physics (IoP) of the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and the Delta Institute for Theoretical Physics (D-ITP). The members of our group are interested in a wide range of topics in theoretical cosmology ranging from the dynamics of the early universe to the formation of large-scale structures in the late universe. The successful applicants would be embedded in a vibrant research environment at the IoP, which includes very active groups in high-energy physics (ITFA) and astroparticle physics (GRAPPA). The successful applicant will be free to pursue his/her own research program and/or collaborate with any of the faculty, postdocs and students in the group on topics of mutual interest.
