Tenure Track Position in Experimental Medium or High-Energy Nuclear Physics
The Department of Physics at Kent State University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in experimental medium or high-energy nuclear physics. The successful candidate is expected to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, and to develop a vigorous externally funded research program that will enhance Kent’s ongoing efforts in experimental nuclear physics. A PhD in physics is a requirement.
Applicants should submit materials that include a cover letter, CV, a statement of research interests in the short and long term, and an outline of teaching interests and philosophy. Names and contact information for at least three professional references should also be provided. Review of applications will begin in August 2018, and will continue until the position is filled. The appointment is expected to begin not sooner than January 2019.
