Applications are invited for a 2 - year postdoctoral research position in theoretical high energy physics or mathematical physics at the department of physics, University of Vienna. The position is within the project
''squashed extra dimensions in gauge theory and matrix models“
starting in fall 2016 and funded by the FWF. Applicants are expected to have expertise in one or more of the following areas
theory of fundamental interactions, quantum field theory, string theory, mathematical physics
and a strong interest to contribute to the above project. Related research at the University of Vienna comprises mathematical physics, particle theory, and gravity. The research environment in Vienna is supplemented by the group of fundamental interactions at the Technical University Vienna, and the Erwin Schrödimger Institute for Mathematical Physics.

The salary is according to the FWF postdoctoral researcher scale.
