Job description:
There will be an opening of a
Postdoctoral Position (1+1 years)
at Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies (FIAS) in the Helmholtz Young Investigator Group “Dynamical Description of Heavy Ion Reactions at FAIR”. The anticipated starting date for the position is October 1rst 2016. An earlier starting date is negotiable. The candidate is required to having received a PhD degree (by the starting date) in the field of theoretical nuclear and hadron physics.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a new dynamical description of relativistic heavy ion reactions at high net baryon densities based on microscopic transport and hydrodynamics and explore the dynamical description of the phase transition to the quark gluon plasma. The applicant is expected to have the ability to do independent research and have experience with numerical simulations.
