Job description:
Postdoc in High Energy Physics (Theory) - Beyond the Standard Model

In the context of the EOS (Excellence of Science) program in Belgium, the project  "The H boson gateway to physics beyond Standard Model" will start 1st of Jan 2018, as a collaboration among the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) (A. Mariotti, S. Lowette, F. Blekman, J. D'Hondt), ULB-TH (R. Argurio, T. Hambye, M. Tytgat), UCL (F. Maltoni),  ULB-EXP (B. Clerbaux), U. Gent (D. Dobur) and U. Antwerpen (N. Van Remortel).

Within this program, the VUB offers a postdoctoral position (2 years) starting in Fall 2018 in the topic of high energy physics and phenomenology. The applicant should have a PhD in theoretical high energy physics at the time of the appointment. The research activity will cover Beyond Standard Model physics, with the attention to modern approaches to address the hierarchy problem, to formal aspects of BSM theories, to supersymmetric models, and their phenomenology at the LHC. The candidate is expected to have an outstanding record of research activity in those topics.

The successful candidate will join and reinforce the High Energy Physics Pheno Group of Prof. Alberto Mariotti at the VUB. More information about the research in high energy physics at VUB can be found here: http://we.vub.ac.be/HEPVUB/
The research is expected to be also in close collaboration with the group of Prof. Riccardo Argurio at ULB-PTM: http://www.ulb.ac.be/sciences/ptm/pmif/

The application should contain a CV, the list of publications and a brief research statement. The application documents should be sent by email to alberto.mariotti@vub.be. The applicant should also arrange for three letters of recommendation to be sent by email to the same address.

All the material should be sent preferably by the 31st of December. Review of the applications will start 1st of Jan 2018.
