Job description:
Particle Physics and Cosmology group at Division of Theoretical Physics, Rudjer Boskovic Institute, Zagreb  has opened a postdoc position in theoretical high energy physics  in the context of the project Physics of Standard Model and Beyond.

The Division of Theoretical Physics is 1/2016 granted by the 3-years RBI-T-WINNING Horizon2020 project founded by the EU Commission to extend the collaboration and to organize the research activities with the 'twinning' partners: LPT Orsay, Ludwig-Maximillian University Munich, SISSA and Nils Bohr Institute. The project provides founding (1 mil Eur) to support all research activities and collaborations with the partners, more at: http://rbi-t-winning.irb.hr.

Main Responsibilities:

The candidate should primarily work on the research of flavor physics phenomena (B-physics) and collider physics. The applicant should have experience with programs for collider simulations (MadGraph, Pythia..) and knowledge in computer programming (C++, Mathematica).

Qualification Requirements:

A selected candidate,  who has earned her/his higher educational qualifications outside Croatia, before being employed will have to make application for the recognition of foreign higher educational qualifications to the Agency for Science and Higher Education (AZVO) (https://www.azvo.hr/en/enic-naric-office/guidelines-for-starting-the-procedure-for-professional-recognition-of-foreign-heq).
IMPORTANT: According to the hiring policy of the Rudjer Boskovic Institute, the candidate MUST HAVE a PhD degree at the time of application, and has to submit either a copy of the diploma or a valid certificate clearly showing that the degree is obtained.

Terms of Employment:

The position involves full-time employment for 2 years, with the possibility of extension for another 2 years. Start date is expected to be Feb./March 2018, or per agreement. The net salary is approximately 900 Eur. In Croatia the researcher receives, in addition to the salary, state benefits (including pension, parental leave (for the spouse too), state­ subsidized childcare, vacation and full medical care) as well as some other financial state benefits.
