Job description:
The High-Energy Physics group in Nanjing University (NJU) in Nanjing, China invites applications for three postdoctoral positions on the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider.
NJU group consists of five professors and is involved in both collider experiments (ATLAS, BESIII) and neutrino experiments (Daya Bay and JUNO experiments). The ATLAS group in NJU is involved in several areas of the ATLAS experiment, including Higgs, new physics analysis, and LAr calorimeter Phase-II upgrade.
The successful candidates are expected to play a leading role to the analysis of ATLAS data in an area compatible with the NJU group interests, which includes the exploration of the Higgs sector and searches for new physics phenomena like SUSY and exotics, and supervision of graduate students.
The position will be either based at Nanjing University or based at CERN. The initial appointment will be for two years and can be extended up to 4 years. The competitive salary will be provided, based on the research experiences and skills. The outstanding candidates will be recommended to apply for an additional fellowship from the CAS Center for Excellence for Particle Physics.
Applicants should have a Ph.D. in experimental particle physics by the time of the appointment and should have in-depth research experience in experimental particle physics.
