Job description:
The Experimental Particle Physics group at the Weizmann Institute of Science (Rehovot, Israel) invites applications for a Postdoctoral position on the ATLAS Experiment at the LHC.

Our group activities span from data analysis to detector physics, data acquisition and trigger systems. We are currently engaged in several physics-analyses and in the construction of the sTGC part of the New Small Wheel. More information can be found in http://www.weizmann.ac.il/particle/Bressler/. Frequent trips and long term staying at CERN are foreseen. Interested candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
 
A Ph.D. in experimental particle physics, astrophysics or Detector physics is required (graduation after Jan 2013). Experience in data analysis in ATLAS is an advantage. Specific experience with hardware R&D, construction or operation is not essential.
 
The Weizmann Institute is located in Rehovot, about 30 minutes drive from Tel-Aviv.  It was rated by "The Scientist" as "The best place to work in academia outside the US" for a few years, and ranked 6th in Nature Innovation Index, 2017, and 1st outside the US.
