Job description:
The Department of Physics at Northeastern University (http://www.northeastern.edu/cos/physics/), College of Science, invites applications from outstanding candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in experimental particle physics to begin September 2018.
Candidates with interest and expertise in experimental collider physics will be considered. The department currently has strong participation in the CMS detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and the Assistant Professor will be expected to lead a program of research with CMS.

Applicants must have a doctorate degree in Physics by the start date. The successful candidate must demonstrate an outstanding record of accomplishments in the field of experimental particle physics with a promise for further achievement in research. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an externally funded research program, to mentor and lead a team of graduate and undergraduate students, and to teach effectively at undergraduate and graduate levels.
