Job description:
A PhD position in theoretical particle physics is available in the fields of Beyond the Standard Model Physics, Phenomenology and Composite Dynamics at the Centre for Cosmology and Particle Physics Phenomenology, at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense.
We are looking for outstanding young and competitive candidates with a clear potential to excel in research in the field of theoretical particle physics phenomenology (e.g. the origin of electroweak symmetry breaking and flavour physics, the particle and astroparticle physics of dark matter and related topics).
The prospective candidate will work in the group of Associate Professor Mads Toudal Frandsen and will be joined by two postdocs and one other PhD student on the project "The Origin of Mass and the Particle Nature of Dark Matter", funded by The Danish Council for Independent Research. The candidate will also benefit from an extensive workshop and visitor programme dedicated to the project and the CP3-Origins research group.
The appointment will be for a term of three years at a very competitive salary with earliest start date at the end of November 2018.
