Description
The Fermilab Theoretical Physics Department invites applications for postdoctoral research appointments starting in the Fall of 2018.
Fermilab Theory postdocs perform self-directed theoretical particle physics research on topics of their own choosing, and are encouraged to work with members of the senior scientific staff and other postdocs within the Department. The Fermilab Theoretical Physics research program includes neutrino physics, perturbative QCD, lattice QCD, Higgs & Flavor physics, collider phenomenology, and physics beyond the standard model.
Postdoctoral research associates in the Fermilab Theoretical Physics Department are appointed for three years.
Qualifications
· Candidates should have obtained a Ph.D. in theoretical particle physics or a closely related field, or expect to earn a Ph.D. in the same fields, by September 1, 2018.
· Demonstrated experience in theoretical particle-physics research.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
· Respect, understand, and value individual differences that embody the principles of diversity.
· Abide by all environment, safety, and health regulations.
