Job description:
 The Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (EP/USP) receives registrations,  until October 20th, 2017, for a post-doctorate with a scholarship from FAPESP. The  offered opportunity is within the framework of the Special Research Project Development  of Scientific Instrumentation for the LHC-CERN ALICE Experiment. One post-doctoral position is open for this project. The purpose of the activities to be  undertaken by the fellows is the research of new applications for the proposed ASIC of  the ALICE-TPC aiming the inclusion of the technology and developed circuits in the  Brazilian industry and other research centers. The adaptation of the ASIC will involve  the use of the designed functional blocks IPs such as Charge Sensitive Amplifier, Shaper  Semi-Gaussian and Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC). 
The required profile for the candidate is:
- A recent Ph.D. degree in microelectronics in a topic related to analog design;
- Good knowledge of the English Language;
- At least 1 publication in a high quality peer reviewed microelectronic journal;
- Experience with AMS simulations (analog and mixed signal);
- Experience with analog/RF design and layout and tools;
- Excellent programming skills in Verilog-A, Matlab;
- Knowledge in optimization algorithms and their application in microelectronic circuit design is desirable and a plus;
- Experience with mixed signal circuit design and test.
- Experience with analog CMOS layout;
- Experience in electronic testing equipment’s.
