Job description:
Several postdoctoral positions in the field of theoretical particle physics will be available at the Institute of Particle Physics (IOPP) at Central China Normal University (CCNU) in Wuhan, China.
The position will start in the fall of 2018 or earlier with the starting date negotiable. The initial appointment for the position is for 2 years, with the possibility of extension for the third year (depending on research performance).
The members of our group currently include two faculties (Prof. Ya-Dong Yang and Prof. Xin-Qiang Li) and several postdocs and students. The research interests of our group include, but not limited to, Quark Flavor Physics, Effective Field Theories, and Physics beyond the Standard Model.
The postdoctoral research position requires a Ph.D. in particle physics by the starting date. Candidates who are close to finishing their Ph.D. thesis are also encouraged to apply.
The IOPP, CCNU counts approximately 45 faculty members, many postdocs and graduate students. Its experimental particle physics group participates in the CDF, LHCb and BES-III experiments, with the focus on flavor physics and CP violation.
The range of salary is CNY 120,000 - 150,000 per year, depending on qualifications. Our university provides also for each postdoc a well-equipped apartment located in the University. Competitive support and funding for researchs and travels will be provided as well.
