Job description:
The Experimental Particle Physics group at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln invites applications for an immediate opening for a postdoctoral research associate to work on the CMS experiment.  The initial appointment is for one year and may be extended upon mutual satisfaction.
 
The group is involved in computing and software and in the pixel detector and pursues measurements of Higgs, electroweak, and top quark physics and searches for physics beyond the Standard Model.  The successful applicant is expected to play a leading role in data analysis and in the pixel detector project.  The research associate may be based at CERN or in Lincoln, by mutual agreement.

Submission via email is recommended. The nominal deadline for the receipt of the application is 15 October 2017, but applications will be reviewed upon submission and the position will remain open until filled.  A Ph.D. in particle physics is required.
