Job description:
The experimental particle physics group at the University of Cincinnati (UC) invites applications for a Post Doctoral Fellow with the Belle/Belle II experiments.  The UC Belle group has a long history of strong contributions to Belle physics and data monitoring and plays a leading role with the new TOP hadron ID device and data monitoring in Belle II. The experiment is scheduled to begin physics running in early 2018.

We are seeking a recent Ph.D. physicist with an excellent record of successful work in experimental particle or nuclear physics.  While experience with accelerator experiments is a plus, we seek an individual with experience in data analysis and software and a strong interest in flavor physics.  The successful candidate will be stationed partially at the experiment and expected to take a leading role in the development and implementation of Belle II data validation and monitoring, Belle and Belle II data analysis, and mentoring of students.

The initial appointment will be for two years with a possibility of extension, subject to mutual agreement and availability of funds.

Interested candidates should contact Professor Kay Kinoshita (kay.kinoshita@uc.edu) for additional information.  Applications must be submitted at https://jobs.uc.edu/ (Search for Requisition #21594).  A cover letter, a statement describing research interests, a curriculum vitae, and a list of publications will be requested in PDF format in the application procedure.  Three letters of reference will be required.  Referees will be asked to upload letters at the website.  We will begin reviewing applications immediately and continue until the position is filled.
