Job description:
The Center for Theoretical Physics at Jilin University is pleased to announce the immediate availability of faculty positions with specialization in theoretical Particle and Nuclear Physics, including the fields of effective field theories in particle physics, QCD at extreme conditions, perturbative and nonperturbative QCD and the application of lattice QCD to all aspects of strong interaction physics. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Theoretical Physics and have at least two years post-doc experience. The successful candidate is expected to initiate and maintain a strong research program, seek external funding, and demonstrate excellence in teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.
The discipline of Theoretical Physics at Jilin University was founded in the 1950s by Prof. S. S. Wu. The Center for Theoretical Physics was established in 2001 by uniting faculty members of teaching and fundamental research. Ever since the Center has been an open institute active in academic communication with the Chinese Physics Society. Also it has gained a reputation around the world in certain research areas. Now the faculty of the Center includes 8 full-time professors, 6 associate professors, and 5 assistant professors. The main research areas in the center are: Particle physics and nuclear physics, Astrophysics and Cosmology and Condensed matter physics.
Interested applicants are welcome to send their inquiries and/or applications (including CV, list of publications, research statement and arrangement of at least three recommendation letters sent separately) to: yongliangma@jlu.edu.cn.
