Sir Michael Atiyah Chair in Mathematical Sciences. at American University of Beirut

The Atiyah Chair Professor will be expected to develop research activity in the mathematical sciences in the widest sense, encourage collaboration and interaction between all departments in AUB in which mathematics plays a role, and foster international liaisons with the mathematical community world-wide. The successful candidate is expected to offer graduate and undergraduate courses and to supervise research in relevant fields. Depending on areas of expertise, the Chair Professor may have a joint appointment in more than one Department.
