Job description:
The Experimental Particle Physics group at the University of Houston (UH) has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral research position to work on Mu2e. Mu2e is an approved experiment at Fermilab which will search for charged lepton flavor violation at an unprecedented level of sensitivity. UH has major responsibilities for the Mu2e straw-tube tracker, and we expect to be carrying out testing and construction projects in collaboration with Rice University in Houston. The successful candidate will also have opportunities to participate in the group’s other activities including Daya Bay, DUNE and Darkside. Extended stay or frequent visits to Fermilab is expected in the first year. Applicants are required to have a PhD in experimental particle physics, latest by the time of appointment, with experience in hardware and data analysis. The initial appointment will be for 1 year, renewable depending on availability of funding and performance. Interested candidates should send, preferably electronically, a cover letter with current CV, to Lau@uh.edu. Three reference letters should be arranged to be sent to the same email address.
