Job description:
The High Energy Theory group at Ben-Gurion University invites applications for 2 postdoctoral positions, for up to 3 years, in Particle Physics Phenomenology.
The positions offer a competitive stipend and an allocation for professional travel. The anticipated start date is September 2018, although one of the positions could start as early as October 2017 if a suitable candidate is identified.
The particle phenomenology effort in the group is led by Yevgeny Kats. Other faculty members are Ramy Brustein (gravity, cosmology, string theory), Aharon Davidson (gravity, cosmology), Eduardo Guendelman (gravity, cosmology) and Michael Lublinsky (high energy QCD, heavy ion collisions).
Ben-Gurion University is located in Beer-Sheva, a city on the edge of the Negev desert. The campus is within a 1-hr train ride from Tel Aviv. We maintain close ties with the other phenomenology groups in Israel (at the Weizmann Institute, Tel-Aviv University, the Hebrew University and the Technion). This provides additional opportunities for collaboration.
Applicants are requested to submit a CV, statement of research interests and publication list, and have three recommendation letters submitted on their behalf, by December 1, 2017.
For inquiries, or to indicate an interest in an early start date, please contact Yevgeny Kats <katsye@bgu.ac.il.
