Opportunity for graduate studies at Queen’s University on the PICO experiment
The PICO group at Queen’s University, in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, is recruiting PhD and MSc students starting in September 2017. We are looking for outstanding candidates with research experience and interests in experimental astroparticle physics. PICO is a world leading direct dark matter search experiment using a bubble chamber located at SNOLAB, in Sudbury, Canada http://www.picoexperiment.com/.
The Queen’s PICO group members will be expected to play a central role in the on-site installation, commissioning and operation of the PICO-40L detector at SNOLAB, the design and construction of the PICO-500 detector, and the PICO dark matter search data analysis effort.
