Opportunities for outstanding students on the PICO experiment
The PICO group at the University of Alberta is recruiting PhD and MSc students starting in January 2018. We are looking for outstanding candidates with research experience and experience in particle physics or nuclear physics. PICO is a world leading direct dark matter search experiment using a bubble chamber to detect signs of dark matter. The experiment is located at SNOLAB, in Sudbury, Ontario.
The group in Alberta has played a major role in the operation, design and analysis of the recent PICO 60 run (https://arxiv.org/abs/1702.07666) and has multiple responsibilities for the upcoming PICO 40L experiment.
