Job description:
The Experimental Particle Physics group at the TU Dortmund University invites applications for a position for a postdoctoral research associate (TVL-13). The position is available from July 2017 and is full time fixed term for 36 months.
The LHCb activities at TU Dortmund are coordinated by Prof. Bernhard Spaan and Dr. Johannes Albrecht. We have significant involvement in the LHCb experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The group has made substantial contributions to the study of rare decays of beauty mesons including tests of lepton flavour universality and to the discovery of $B_s \to \mu\mu$. Additionally, we have made significant contributions to the upgrade of LHCb, including the SciFi detector and the upgrade trigger system.
We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to strengthen the recently admitted ERC Starting Grant research group of Johannes Albrecht. The new group member is expected to play a leading role in LHCb’s tests of lepton flavour universality as well as in the High Level Trigger project.
Applicants are expected to have a PhD degree in experimental particle physics or in arelated field and have proven experience that allows them to fill a leading role in data analysis. Applications including CV, list of publications, statement of research interests and three letters of reference should be send to
johannes.albrecht@tu-dortmund.de
For any further information please contact Dr. Johannes Albrecht (johannes.albrecht@tu- dortmund.de).
We will begin reviewing applications 29th of May 2017.
TU Dortmund University is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applications from women. Handicapped applicants will be treated preferentially if equally qualified.
