Job description:
The Theoretical Particle Physics Laboratory (LPTP) at the Institute of Physics of the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne invites applications for one Ph.D. fellowship. The preferred starting date is Fall 2017, and the duration is 4 years. Candidates should have obtained a Master in Physics by the starting date. Preference will be given to candidates with a solid basis in theoretical physics. The LPTP is headed by Riccardo Rattazzi and comprises Andrea Wulzer as CERN/EPFL joint staff member. Research areas include quantum field theory, high-energy phenomenology, physics beyond the standard model, and cosmological aspects of particle physics. All the groups working in particle physics at EPFL have strong ties with nearby CERN (http://het.epfl.ch). Applications should contain a motivation letter, a curriculum vitae, a list of all the exams with marks, and at least one recommendation letter.
