Postdoctoral Research Position
Experimental Neutrino Physics
University of Tennessee
The University of Tennessee Neutrino Group invites applications for a postdoctoral position. Our group is involved in the COHERENT Neutrino experiment with a main goal to detect Coherent Elastic neutrino Nucleus scattering (CEvNS) and to study its properties.
The successful candidate will have primary responsibilities in installation and supervision of detector array at the Spallation Neutron Source (SNS) at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), and in the data analysis.
Minimum requirements are: Ph.D. degree in Nuclear or Particle Physics. Experience in experimental nuclear and particle physics is required with emphasis on: detectors hardware and data analysis (GEANT4, ROOT). Good skills with vacuum and cryogenic technologies is a benefit.
This position will be based in Knoxville and/or Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
