Job description:
We invite applications for senior researcher positions at the University of Zurich (UZH) in experimental particle physics research on the CMS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). We are interested in finding outstanding, strongly-motivated candidates with the drive to pursue important research topics in detector development for particle physics. Our CMS group at UZH is engaged in data analysis, software, and operations of the CMS detector. We have helped construct the original and phase-1 barrel pixel detector, and expect to have an important role in phase 2 of the LHC and beyond. The positions are initially limited to three years with the possibility of permanent extension.
