Research
•The successful candidate is expected to have deep understanding of the basics of theoretical quantum optics. They are expected to be familiar with the principles and phenomena of cavity quantum electrodynamics.
•Previous experience with many-body quantum systems and entanglement, quantum phase transitions, and quantum information science would be advantageous. Other welcome attributes include: a strong track record of delivering successful outcomes in scientific research, excellent communication and presentation skills, and an accurate and independent approach to research.
•Candidates must have proven track records of research and skills in quantum optics, and a substantive record of publications in high impact journals. The successful candidate is expected to contribute to the supervision of graduate students. The position is funded by the Dodd-Walls Centre for Photonic and Quantum Technologies, a New Zealand Centre of Research Excellence.
Academic
