Job description:
Applicants for a postdoctoral position on a recently awarded ERC (European Research Council) consolidator grant in theoretical relativistic heavy ion physics (quark-gluon plasma), are invited to apply. The position is in the group of Magdalena Djordjevic at the Institute of Physics Belgrade (University of Physics Belgrade, Serbia), and the postdoc will also strongly interact with Pasi Huovinen (University of Wroclaw, Poland). Candidates with a background in QGP medium simulations (relativistic hydrodynamics and/or parton transport theory) are encouraged to apply. The candidate will work in a team combining high pt energy loss and bulk medium evolution predictions. The position will start in September 2017, with the initial appointment of two years and a possible extension for one year. The review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.
