The C. N. Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics at Stony Brook University invites applications for postdoctoral positions with anticipated appointment dates of September 1, 2017.
Research fields at the Institute include but are not limited to particle theory including astroparticle theory, cosmology, quantum field theory, string theory, statistical mechanics, and quantum information theory. The Institute has a tradition of interaction with the Departments of Physics and Astronomy and Mathematics, and strong connections to the Simons Center for Geometry and Physics.
Brief Description of Duties: The Postdoctoral Associate will conduct research in the field of the Postdoctoral Associate's choice in theoretical physics. Required Qualifications: Fulfillment of all requirements for a Ph.D or foreign equivalent in theoretical physics or closely related field at the time of appointment.
This is a full time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA.
