Job description:
The theory group in the Department of Physics at the College of William
and Mary invites applications for a postdoctoral research associate
position in the group beginning in September 2017, pending
availability of funding. Candidates should have a Ph.D. by the
starting date and have expertise in an area relevant to the group's
research program. Topics of interest include: lattice QCD, effective
field theories, heavy quark physics, and lattice field theory. The
group consists of three faculty (Carlson, Dudek, Orginos and Shanahan
(starting August 2017) and currently has one postdoctoral research
associate and four graduate students. In addition, has strong ties
with the Theory Center at the Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator
Facility.  The successful applicant will be expected to work on topics
in theoretical hadronic and nuclear physics. A Ph.D. in theoretical
physics is required at the time the appointment begins (August 2017).
