Job description:
The experimental high-energy physics group at the University of Texas at Austin invites you to apply for a postdoctoral position to participate on the ATLAS experiment. If selected, you will play a leading role in data analysis and searches for physics beyond the standard model during Run 2 of the LHC. You will also participate in detector upgrades for the ATLAS LAr calorimeter system, a growing effort at UT.

You should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in experimental particle or astro-particle physics at the time of the appointment. You should have a demonstrated ability to conduct independent particle physics research and mentor students, and an enthusiasm for working collaboratively. Experience with detector instrumentation and hardware development is desired but not required. This position will be based either at CERN or Austin, to be negotiated.
