The Department of Physical Sciences at Universidad Andrés Bello, Santiago, Chile, invites applications for two full-time positions beginning March 2017. Faculty teach a full range of undergraduate physics courses for both majors and non-majors. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Physics or a closely related field, a strong commitment to teaching and have a clear plan for an active research program involving undergraduate physics majors. Candidates working in statistical, condensed matter, plasma, and high energy physics, are especially encouraged to apply, although all areas of specialization will be considered. Review of applications will begin December 15, 2016, and the positions will remain open until filled. Applications should include 1) a cover letter, 2) a curriculum vitae, 3) a brief statement of teaching philosophy, 4) a description of research plans, and 5) two letters of recommendation.
