The String Theory and Supergravity group is part of a bigger Theoretical Physics Group at the INFN Padova Section and Department of Physics and Astronomy of Padova University. It consists of six Padova University faculty members Gianguido Dall'Agata, Stefano Giusto, Kurt Lechner, Pieralberto Marchetti, Luca Martucci and Marco Matone, INFN researcher Dmitri Sorokin and a number of Post Doctoral Fellows and PhD Students.
Scientific interests of the String Theory and Supergravity group include supergravity theories and supersymmetry breaking, String/SUGRA Cosmology, Black Holes, geometric and group-theoretical foundations of string theory and its quantization, brane dynamics and string phenomenology, aspects of AdS/CFT correspondence and integrability, higher spin field theory.
