Lecturer in Physics Fundamental Physics Section, Department of Physics South Kensington Campus Salary range: £46,970 - £52,350 per annum Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer in Physics, based within the Fundamental Physics Section of the Department of Physics, which comprises the Astrophysics Group, the experimental High Energy Physics Group and the Theoretical Physics Group. We are seeking a world-class researcher in the general area of the phenomenology of fundamental physics, whose research expertise will enhance the phenomenologically-based research activities of one or more of the three Groups within the Section. These activities include, but are not limited to, particle physics phenomenology and model building, particle astrophysics and cosmology, dark matter searches and gravitational waves. The post-holder will be responsible for his or her own research programme, for appropriate administrative tasks, and for teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level. An undergraduate degree and a PhD (or equivalent) in Physics or Mathematics, together with a high-calibre research track record in this area as evidenced by high-quality publications in peer-reviewed journals are essential. A clear vision of future research directions is also essential. Candidates are expected to demonstrate significant research and leadership experience or potential. They must also have the potential to raise external research funding from a diverse range of sources, in order to maintain and enhance the College's leading research activities. Candidates will be required to demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching at the University level.
