The high energy theory and cosmology groups in the Department of Physics at the University of Michigan welcome applications for a postdoctoral position starting in the fall of 2017, in any sub-field, including early universe physics, standard model physics, beyond the standard model physics, string theory, string phenomenology, quantum field theory, gravity, astro-particle physics (including dark matter and neutrino physics), and particle cosmology.
The University of Michigan has a very active program in these areas. Current faculty members are R. Akhoury, H. Elvang, G. Evrard, K. Freese, D. Huterer, G. Kane, F. Larsen, J. Liu, L. Pando Zayas, A. Pierce, B. Safdi, and J. Wells. The Michigan Center for Theoretical Physics (MCTP) attracts the world's top physicists through its conferences, workshops, and visitor programs. Michigan also has a large active experimental particle physics group.
