Postdoctoral Research Fellow - Postdoc at Institute for Basic Sciences

We invites exceptionally talented researchers to apply for multiple B.W. Lee and Y.S. Jin postdoctoral openings that start from September 1st, 2017. The tenure is for 3+2 years  or longer, commensurate to applicant's qualification. The annual salary starts at 57 million Korean Won (approximately $53,000 USD) and carries individual research budget starting at 15 million Korean won. These positions come with ample opportunity of promotion to faculty ladder and to Junior Research Group leader positions. 

We are looking for applicants who 

 - can demonstrate independence in research within theoretical physics broadly termed (field/string theory, gravitational physics, physical mathematics, quantum information) 

- can proactively interact and collaborate with other members in polymath style 

 - intends to carry out creative long-term research programs. 

The application due date is December 15, 2016. However, we strongly encourage earlier applications as we will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis, and the positions for this year may be filled up earlier than the due date. Applicant should upload curriculum vitae (with email address and citizenship), a statement of research interests with detailed exposition of intended long-term programs and a list of publications, and arrange at least three reference letters from senior theorists. Applicants will also be considered for other available postdoctoral and Junior Research Group leader positions.
