Experimental Particle Physics (452) - Postdoc at Brookhaven

The Omega Group has an opening for a Postdoctoral Research Associate position to work on the ATLAS Experiment. The new postdoc is expected to be stationed at CERN, and will take part in the Run 2 physics analysis effort and participate in the studies for future upgrades. Under the direction of Dr. H. Ma. Expected start date Oct 1, 2015 for a period of two years.

Position Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Ph.D. in experimental particle physics.
Knowledge of hadron collider physics and particle physics detectors
Experience in detector operations and performance studies of collider experiments

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Computing software skill for high energy physics
Experience with particle physics detector R&D
Monte Carlo simulation of particle physics and detectors
