Salary: AUD
90,657 p.a. (* Level A PhD entry level AUD $84,458 p.a.) plus 9.5% superannuation
You will undertake high level research addressing representation-theoretic aspects of affine vertex algebras and superalgebras at non-integral levels, the corresponding conformal field theories, and related fields including the theory of modular forms, tensor categories and symmetric functions. In undertaking this work, you will be expected to publish high quality papers in international mathematical physics and pure mathematics journals, in collaboration with Dr David Ridout.
This fellowship is funded by an ARC Discovery Project held jointly by Dr David Ridout (Melbourne) and Professor Peter Bouwknegt (ANU) with partner investigators Dr Thomas Creutzig (Alberta) and Dr Simon Wood (Cardiff). You will also be expected to interact with and will have opportunities to collaborate with these researchers. There are no formal teaching duties in this position.
