DESY, Zeuthen location, is seeking:

Scientist (f/m) in theoretical astroparticle physics (Tenure Track)

DESY
DESY is one of the world’s leading research centres for photon science, particle and astroparticle physics as well as accelerator physics.

The astroparticle theory group currently has interests in the physics of cosmic accelerators (such as supernova remnants, gamma-ray bursts and active glactic nuclei), plasma physics, and neutrino physics. The successful candidate is expected to complement these research interests, and to interact with the existing groups.

The position
- Research in theoretical astroparticle physics
- Participation in the strategic development of the group
- Supervision of junior researchers
- Acquisition of external funding

Requirements
- Ph.D. in physics or astronomy
- At least 3 years of postdoc experience
- Excellence in research
- Experience in the supervision of junior researchers
- Good command of English
