PhD position in the ATLAS experiment
The ATLAS group of Thomas Lohse at the Department of Physics, Humboldt University Berlin invites applications for a
PhD position (pay scale: E 13 TV-L, 50%)
The position should be filled at the earliest possible date. The contract will initially run until the end of the current BMBF funding period (July 2018) and is expected to be extended to a full duration of three years in the coming period. It includes the possibility to spend part of the time based at CERN.
The successful candidate is expected to contribute to ATLAS physics analyses connected to the search for physics beyond the standard model in single top quark production and to contribute to general responsibilities within the collaboration.
Candidates should hold a university degree (Master's or equivalent) and have good knowledge of particle physics. Research experience related to LHC physics and motivation to join an analysis in the ATLAS experiment are desired.
