Job description:
The Institute for Nuclear and Particle Physics (INPAC) at Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU), China has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral research associate to work on the PandaX experiment. Successful candidates will take leading roles on the upgrade program of the experiment, including detector, electronics and data acquisition. Involvement in the data analysis with the current detector is also possible.
 
We welcome highly motivated applicants who have obtained a Ph.D. degree or who are expecting one prior to starting the position, in nuclear physics, particle physics, or a related field. The initial appointment is for 2 years with possible extension or promotion. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and subsidized housing options through the university. We will also offer assistance in applying for the prestigious “Chung-Yao Chao Postdoctoral Fellowship” for additional benefits. 
 
INPAC has twenty faculty members working on diverse areas of fundamental research, including nuclear theory, particle theory, particle and nuclear experiments. English is the working language at the institute.
