Junior and Senior Faculty Positions
School of Science, Huzhou University
The School of Science at Huzhou University has immediate openings of at least five faculty positions, at all academic ranks (assistant, associate, and full professor), in the areas of, but not limited to, AMO and nuclear physics, both experiment and theory. In addition the university partners with the municipal government with various talent programs designed to attract world top researchers. This hiring program is to substantially grow the school and enhance its impact in the related research.
The candidate should have a Ph.D. in physics or a related field. Applicants for senior positions should possess a record of distinguished academic and scholarly achievements in his/her research field. Salary and benefits are highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. In addition, the university offers housing subsidies (122-137m2 for senior hire and 70-85m2 for junior hire), generous relocation package, and spousal employment. Research funding is provided to support startup period. Special talent program hires are handled under separate arrangement.

Huzhou University (http://www.hutc.zj.cn/english/) is a comprehensive full-time undergraduate college. It is located in the historic, scenery Huzhou City of Zhejiang Province, 80km north of Hangzhou, 150km west of Shanghai, and 200km south-east of Nanjing. It is conveniently connected by high-speed railroad system, 20 minutes to Hangzhou, 50 minutes to Nanjing, and ~30 minutes (in construction) to Shanghai. The university is made of three connected campuses (east, central, west) with total 270 acres of land, 90 acres of green area, and 580,000m2 building space.
The university is composed of 14 schools and an independent college, and affiliated by four hospitals, a high school, and two elementary schools. The School of Science is one of the largest and most advanced schools of the university. It includes two main disciplines: mathematics and physics. The physics department has currently 33 faculty members (10 full professors, 7 associate professors). It covers three major areas: nuclear physics, optics, and condensed matter physics. The nuclear physics program includes nuclear structure, superheavy nuclei, intermediate and high energy heavy ion collision research. It is the only such program in Zhejiang Province, and is internationally recognized.
