Research Engineer in Particle Physics - Postdoc at Royal Inst. Tech., Stockholm

The research group in particle and astroparticle physics at the Department of physics is offering a one-year position as a research engineer to work with maintainance and development of the ATLAS experiment online luminosity monitoring and simulation studies for ATLAS forward calorimeters.

Qualifications

A PhD degree awarded before the commencement of the position from a Swedish or foreign university in physics is a requirement. We seek a candidate with a strong background in particle physics with several years of experience with the ATLAS experiment’s online software. The applicant should already have completed a one-year qualification process to become an ATLAS author. The successful applicant should be strongly motivated, have the capability to work independently as well as in collaboration with members of the research group, and have good communication skills.
